This year hundreds of your colleagues and their families will receive assistance with rent or mortgage payments, utility bills, money for groceries and other basic living expenses during a critical period. Demand for assistance has tripled in the last decade. Over $4.4 million in financial aid has been distributed in the past 10 years. In the last two years alone, over $1 million has been provided to entertainment workers and their families in need. The program is funded by Canada’s film and television unions and guilds and personal support from industry members. You can do your part to help a friend bounce back by raising money on set through the Film & Television Charity Challenge and joining the Reel Friends Plan, a payroll deduction program.
